§ 298a. Special Health Service Corps—Creation; composition

A special unit of doctors and dentists, designated as the “Corps” and henceforth attached to the Department of Health, is hereby created for the purpose of improving the quality of health services rendered in Puerto Rico, and assuring their continuity and stability. Said Corps shall consist of public service doctors and dentists engaged in rendering permanent and full-time health services in the Department of Health or in any other Administration heretofore or hereafter created and attached to the Department of Health, and who do not receive compensation for regular services in other departments, commonwealth or federal agencies, public corporations, municipalities, public or private institutions, or the private practice of their profession.
