Section 10.01.08.01 - Scope

A. This chapter establishes the procedures for requesting and gaining access to records and information of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, its administrations, and its facilities.

B. This chapter does not apply to requests for medical records of individuals, which are governed by Health-General Article, §4-301 et seq., Annotated Code of Maryland, or to requests for drug and alcohol treatment records of individuals, which are governed by Health-General Article, §8-601, Annotated Code of Maryland.
