Section 577.001 - License Required(a) A person or political subdivision may not operate a mental hospital without a license issued by the department under this chapter.(b) A community center or other entity designated by the department to provide mental health services may not operate a mental health facility that provides court-ordered mental health services without a license issued by the department under this chapter.Tex.
