Section 348.008 - Applicability of Other Statutes to Retail Installment Transaction(a) A loan or interest statute of this state, other than Chapter 303, does not apply to a retail installment transaction.(b) Except as provided by this chapter, an applicable statute, including Title 1, Business & Commerce Code, or a principle of common law continues to apply to a retail installment transaction unless it is displaced by this chapter.
