Section 159.612 - Recognition of Order Modified in Another State If a child support order issued by a tribunal of this state is modified by a tribunal of another state that assumed jurisdiction under the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, a tribunal of this state:
(1) may enforce the order that was modified only as to arrears and interest accruing before the modification;(2) may provide appropriate relief for violations of the order that occurred before the effective date of the modification; and(3) shall recognize the modifying order of the other state, on registration, for the purpose of enforcement.Amended by Acts 2015, Texas Acts of the 84th Leg. - Regular Session, ch. 368,Sec. 51, eff. 7/1/2015.Amended by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1247, Sec. 39, eff. 9/1/2003.Added by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 20, Sec. 1, eff. 4/20/1995.
