Section 1001.213 - License Not Transferable; Change of Ownership(a) A license under this subchapter may not be transferred and is the property of the state.(b) If a change in ownership of a driver training provider is proposed, a new owner shall apply for a new provider license at least 30 days before the date of the change.(c) The commission by rule may establish fees for a new driver training provider license under Subsection (b) and, if applicable, for each branch location of an in-person driver education provider if:(1) the new owner is substantially similar to the previous owner; and(2) there is no significant change in the management or control of the provider.(d) The department may inspect a driver training provider's main or branch location, as applicable, after a change of ownership.Tex.
