Any person convicted of violating the provisions of the preceding sections, shall be fined in a sum not less than fifty, nor more than five hundred dollars for each offense; one-half to be paid to the county treasurer for the use of the commonwealth, and the other half to the person or persons who shall prosecute such offender.
