Section 422.12 - Midwifery(a) Previous licensure.--A midwife who has been licensed previously by the board may continue to practice midwifery in accordance with regulations promulgated by the board.(b) Use of title.--A midwife may use the title midwife, nurse-midwife or an appropriate abbreviation of those titles.(c) Other licenses or certificates.--Nothing in this section or the regulations authorized by this section shall be construed to prohibit a midwife who is licensed or certified to practice another profession by a Commonwealth agency on board from practicing within the scope of that license or certificate or as otherwise authorized by law.1985, Dec. 20, P.L. 457, No. 112, § 12, effective 1/1/1986.
