Section 21 - Hawkers and peddlers may be licensed by county treasurers; license fees

Hereafter any county treasurer of the respective counties of this commonwealth is hereby authorized to issue a license to any person or persons to hawk, peddle or sell, within the county where such license is granted, clothing, dry goods, notions, crockery and tin-ware, other than their own manufacturing or product; and each person so applying for and taking out a license shall pay to such county treasurer, yearly, as follows, to wit: The sum of ten dollars for each person hawking, peddling or selling, where the same is done on foot or by traveling without any conveyance, for the sale of such goods, and the sum of forty dollars for the hawking, peddling and selling of such goods, wares or merchandise, where a horse and carriage, or any vehicle, is used in carrying on the business of hawking, peddling or selling goods, wares and merchandise, aforesaid.
