Section 12711 - Establishment of department; appointment, term, and qualifications of director

There shall be a Department of City Architecture, of which the director of city architecture shall be the head; he shall be appointed by the mayor, by and with the advice and consent of the council, and shall hold office during the term for which the mayor who appointed him was elected and until his successor is appointed and qualified. He shall be ex officio a member of the Art Jury of Philadelphia.
