Section 1511 - Care and maintenance of soldiers' monuments and memorials by municipalities

Where there has been erected a soldiers' monument, gun, or carriage or other similar memorials in any city, borough, township, or incorporated town within this Commonwealth, and there is not in existence any person, body, or organization to care for and to take charge of and maintain the same, it shall be the duty of the corporate authorities at the expense of the respective city, borough, township, or incorporated town wherein any of the said memorials are situate, to take charge of, care for, and maintain and keep in good order and repair the said memorials, or any of them, for all time to come.
