Section 2173 - Providing certain services without charge prohibited

Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, no county commissioners shall provide without charge any items of care or service which an individual is entitled to receive as assistance under the act of June 13, 1967 ( P.L. 31, No.21), known as the "Human Services Code," but this section shall not be construed to preclude county commissioners from providing additional forms of assistance not inconsistent with the Human Services Code or the regulations of the Department of Human Services.
