Section 526.054 - Authority of department to require fingerprints For the purpose of requesting a state or nationwide criminal records check under ORS 181A.195, the State Forestry Department may require the fingerprints of a person who:
(1)(a) Is employed or is applying for employment by the department; or(b) Provides services or seeks to provide services to the department as a contractor or volunteer; and(2) Is, or will be, working or providing services in a position: (a) That provides forest education or recreation programs for persons under 18 years of age; or(b) In which the person investigates or fights wildland fires and the criminal records check is requested to search for crimes associated with arson.526.054 was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 526 or any series therein by legislative action.
