Section 93.635 - Acknowledgment and recording of instruments contracting to convey fee title(1) All instruments contracting to convey fee title to any real property, at a time more than 12 months from the date that the instrument is executed and the parties are bound, shall be acknowledged, in the manner provided for acknowledgment of deeds, by the conveyor of the title to be conveyed. Except for those instruments listed in subsection (2) of this section, all such instruments, or a memorandum thereof, shall be recorded by the conveyor not later than 15 days after the instrument is executed and the parties are bound thereby.(2) The following instruments contracting to convey fee title to any real property may be recorded as provided in subsection (1) of this section, but that subsection does not require such recordation of: (a) Earnest money or preliminary sales agreements;(c) Rights of first refusal. 1975 c.618 §4; 1977 c.724 §1; 1987 c.586 §23
