(1) 12 Okl.St.Ann. § 2, and 25 Okl.St.Ann. § 29 also provide for liberal construction of statutes.
The provision herein on damages is substantially the same as 23 Okl.St.Ann. § 1, reading: "As a general rule, compensation is the relief or remedy provided by the law of this State for the violation of private rights, and the means of securing their observance; and specific and preventive relief may be given in no other cases than those specified herein." (2) This is in accord with the spirit of Art. II, § 6 of the Oklahoma Constitution which provides that there shall be a remedy afforded for every wrong.
