Section 3-27-8 - Furnishing or selling water outside of corporate limitsA. Any municipality owning or operating a municipal water utility may furnish or sell, and may contract to furnish or sell, water to any person, association or legal entity, including governmental agencies and political subdivisions, situate without the corporate limits of the municipality. B. Contracts for the sale of municipal water may be for a term, and upon conditions, acceptable to the municipality, but the contracts shall be entered in the name of the municipality following approval of its governing body. 1953 Comp., § 14-26-8, enacted by Laws 1965, ch. 38, § 1.
