Section 40A:9-46 - Medical examiners

In every county, the board of chosen freeholders shall appoint a county medical examiner, or join in the appointment of an intercounty medical examiner, in accordance with the provisions of P.L. 2018, c. 62(C.26:6B-1 et al.), who shall meet the qualifications for appointment as provided in that act and prescribed by regulation of the Chief State Medical Examiner.
