Section 442.003 - DefinitionsAs used in this chapter, unless the context requires otherwise:
1. "Advisory Board" means the Advisory Board on Maternal and Child Health.2. "Department" means the Department of Health and Human Services.3. "Director" means the Director of the Department.4. "Division" means the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department.5. "Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder" has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 432B.0655.6. "Freestanding birthing center" has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 449.0065.7. "Laboratory" has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 652.040.8. "Midwife" means: (a) A person certified as: (1) A Certified Professional Midwife by the North American Registry of Midwives, or its successor organization; or(2) A Certified Nurse-Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board, or its successor organization; or(b) Any other type of midwife.9.
