Section 241.025 - Designee of member of public body not allowed; exception1. Unless the designation is expressly authorized by the legal authority pursuant to which a public body was created: (a) The public body may not designate a person to attend a meeting of the public body in the place of a member of the public body; and(b) A member of the public body may not designate a person to attend a meeting of the public body in his or her place.2. Any authorized designation must be made in writing or made on the record at a meeting of the public body.3. A person who is designated to attend a meeting of a public body in the place of a member of the public body: (a) Shall be deemed to be a member of the public body for the purposes of determining a quorum at the meeting; and(b) Is entitled to exercise the same powers as the regular members of the public body at the meeting.Added to NRS by 2013, 726; A 2015, 1059Amended by 2015, Ch. 226,§5, eff. 5/27/2015.Added by 2013, Ch. 193,§3, eff. 7/1/2013.
