Section 37:694 - Application for licensure or certification; feesA.(1) Application for licensure as a professional engineer or professional land surveyor shall be on forms prescribed and furnished by the board, shall show the applicant's education and a detailed summary of his technical work, and shall contain such references prescribed by the board.(2) Application for certification as an engineer intern or land surveyor intern shall be on forms prescribed and furnished by the board, shall show the applicant's education and a detailed summary of his technical work, if any, and shall contain such references prescribed by the board.(3) Application for licensure by a firm shall be in accordance with R.S. 37:689 and rules and regulations of the board.(4) All applications shall include a statement affirming that the information contained on the application is true and correct to the best of the applicant's knowledge, information, and belief. Electronic signatures are acceptable, if properly encrypted.B.(1) The application fee for professional engineers, professional land surveyors, engineer interns, land surveyor interns, and firms shall be established at the discretion of the board, but shall not exceed two hundred dollars, and said fee shall accompany the application. The board may not increase the application fee by more than thirty dollars in any three-year period.(2) If the board denies the issuance of a license or certificate to any applicant, the application fee shall be retained by the board. An unsuccessful applicant shall pay the prescribed fee for each subsequent application.Acts 1980, No. 568, §1.
