Section 11:3194 - Board of trustees; compositionA. The board of trustees shall be composed of: (1) The chief of the fire department, who shall be ex officio president of the board, unless he is not a member of the fund, then an additional retired member shall be elected by secret ballot from the retirees of the fund to the board of trustees for a two-year term and biennially thereafter, and the board president shall be elected by the board of trustees from the board members.(3) The finance director of the city of Bossier City.(4) Two active members of the fund serving in the Bossier City Fire Department. The two active members are to be elected for two-year terms by secret ballot. One member is to be elected on the first Tuesday of December, 1995, and biennially thereafter. One member is to be elected on the first Tuesday of December, 1996, and biennially thereafter by the active members of the fund serving in the department. When the number of active members of the fund serving in the Bossier City Fire Department reaches fifteen, the active member position next to expire shall be filled by a retired member of the fund, who shall be elected by the retired members of the fund for a term of two years and biennially thereafter. When the last active member of the fund serving in the Bossier City Fire Department retires, the active member position on the board of trustees shall be filled by a retired member of the fund, who shall be elected by the retired members of the fund for a term of two years and biennially thereafter.(5) Two retired members of the Bossier City Fire Department to be elected for two-year terms by secret ballot, one member to be elected by the members of the department on the first Tuesday of December, 1995, and biennially thereafter; one member to be elected by the members of the department on the first Tuesday of December, 1996, and biennially thereafter.B.
