§ 4874. Sabotage of essential public services

Any person who intentionally destroys, damages, vandalizes, alters, or interrupts the operation of water, gas, power, telephone, telecommunications, or computer network or system facilities or equipment, or any other property intended for providing public or private essential services, including transportation and communications, shall incur a third degree felony.

However, it shall be a second degree felony when it results in preventing a person from seeking or receiving help to save his/her life, health, or physical integrity.
