§ 4767. Abandonment of elderly and persons with disabilities

Any person to whom an elderly or person with disabilities who is unable to care for him/herself is entrusted, and who abandons said person in any place with the intention of deserting him/her shall incur a fourth degree felony.

When due to the circumstances of the abandonment the life, health, bodily integrity or sexual indemnity of the person is jeopardized, the perpetrator shall incur a third degree felony.
