Registration in the Mercantile Registry shall be optional for individual merchants and compulsory for minors between 18 and 21 years of age, and for partnerships or companies organized in accordance with this Code.
Registration of minors shall be made through a petition authenticated by an officer of the Mercantile Registry, and shall be free of charge.
