§ 1008. Laws governing commerce by foreign corporations and companies

Corporations, partnerships and companies organized abroad may engage in commerce in Puerto Rico subject to the laws of their own country as regards their contracting capacity, but subject to the provisions of this Code and of all other laws in force in the Commonwealth in all matters concerning the creation of their establishments in the Commonwealth, their commercial transactions, and the jurisdiction of the corresponding courts of the Commonwealth.
