It shall not be required to be a member of the Bar Association or any professional association or organization in order to practice the legal profession in Puerto Rico. The Supreme Court of Puerto Rico may, if deemed necessary, provide by resolution for membership dues to be charged, which shall not exceed two hundred dollars ($200). These dues shall be transferred in part to defray the expenses of any bona fide entity, whether existing or to be created in the future, that provides legal assistance to indigent people in civil cases, pursuant to the provisions of Section 10 of Act No. 121 of October 13, 2009.
