Section 36-10-7-9 - Membership of department and board of parks and recreation of certain townships(a) This section applies to the township having the largest population in the following counties:(1) A county having a population of more than sixty-six thousand six hundred (66,600) and less than seventy thousand (70,000).(2) A county having a population of more than three hundred thousand (300,000) and less than three hundred fifty thousand (350,000).(b) Notwithstanding IC 36-10-7.5-5, the department of parks and recreation of a township described in subsection (a) consists of four (4) members appointed by the township executive on the basis of the members' interest in and knowledge of parks and recreation.
