(b) This subsection applies to a school corporation that does not have any students in the school corporation's current ADM for the year for whom, of the instructional services that the students receive from the school corporation, at least fifty percent (50%) is virtual instruction. The school corporation's basic tuition support for a state fiscal year is equal to the amount determined under STEP FOUR of the following formula: STEP ONE: Multiply the foundation amount by the school corporation's current ADM.
STEP TWO: Multiply the school corporation's complexity index by:
(A) for the state fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, three thousand nine hundred eighty-three dollars ($3,983); and(B) for the state fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024, four thousand twenty-four dollars ($4,024).STEP THREE: Multiply the STEP TWO amount by the school corporation's current ADM.
STEP FOUR: Determine the sum of the STEP ONE amount and the STEP THREE amount.
(c) This subsection applies to a school corporation that has students in the school corporation's current ADM for the year for whom, of the instructional services that the students receive from the school corporation, at least fifty percent (50%) is virtual instruction. The school corporation's basic tuition support for a state fiscal year is equal to the amount determined under STEP SEVEN of the following formula: STEP ONE: Determine the total number of students in the school corporation's current ADM for the year for whom, of the instructional services that the students receive from the school corporation, at least fifty percent (50%) is virtual instruction.
STEP TWO: Determine the result of the school corporation's current ADM for the year minus the STEP ONE amount.
STEP THREE: Determine the result of:
(A) the foundation amount; multiplied bySTEP FOUR: Determine the result of:
(A) the STEP ONE amount; multiplied by(B) eighty-five percent (85%) of the foundation amount.STEP FIVE: Multiply the school corporation's complexity index by:
(A) for the state fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, three thousand nine hundred eighty-three dollars ($3,983); and(B) for the state fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024, four thousand twenty-four dollars ($4,024).STEP SIX: Multiply the STEP FIVE amount by the school corporation's current ADM.
STEP SEVEN: Determine the sum of the STEP THREE amount, the STEP FOUR amount, and the STEP SIX amount.
