Section 12-27-6-3 - Adult voluntary patients; right to refuse treatment or habilitation; involuntary patients; right to petition for consideration(a) A service provider shall inform all adult voluntary patients who are not adjudicated mentally incompetent of the right to refuse to submit to treatment or a habilitation program.(b) A service provider shall inform all involuntary patients, verbally and in writing, of the right to petition the committing court or hearing officer for consideration of the treatment or program.Pre-1992 Revision Citation: 16-14-1.6-7 part.
