Section 526.015 - Lubricating oil standards and labeling requirements(1) A person may not sell or distribute, or offer for sale or distribution, a lubricating oil that fails to meet a quality standard, such as those established by the Society of Automotive Engineers or other similar standard, or a labeling requirement designed to prevent deceptive or misleading practices as adopted by department rule.(2) A product that fails to meet a standard or labeling requirement adopted by department rule shall be placed under a stop-sale order by the department, and the lot number of the product shall be identified and tagged by the department to prevent its sale.(3) A person may not sell or distribute, or offer for sale or distribution, a product that has been placed under a stop-sale order.(4) If a product is made to conform to standards and labeling requirements or is removed from the premises in a manner approved by the department, the department shall issue a release order.Added by 2014 Fla.
