Section 397.68112 - Involuntary services; persons who may petition(1) If the respondent is an adult, a petition for involuntary treatment services may be filed by the respondent's spouse or legal guardian, any relative, a service provider, or an adult who has direct personal knowledge of the respondent's substance abuse impairment and his or her prior course of assessment and treatment.(2) If the respondent is a minor, a petition for involuntary treatment services may be filed by a parent, legal guardian, or service provider.(3) The court may prohibit, or a law enforcement agency may waive, any service of process fees if a petitioner is determined to be indigent.s.6, ch. 93-39; s.750, ch. 95-148; s.35, ch. 2016-241.Renumbered from Fla.
