Section 8-813 - Application(a) The rule of construction that statutes in derogation of the common law are to be strictly construed shall have no application to this chapter. This chapter shall be broadly construed to accomplish its intended purposes.(b) The provisions of this Act shall apply only to agreements executed after the effective date of this Act except proceedings for pre-birth determination of parentage pursuant to §8-611(a) which may be commenced on or after the effective date.Added by Laws 2013, ch. 88,s 8, eff. 7/3/2013.
