Section 42-6-142 - Penalties
(1) A person shall not sell, transfer, or in any manner dispose of a motor or off-highway vehicle in this state without complying with this part 1.
(2) A person who violates subsection (1) of this section for which no other penalty is expressly provided commits a petty offense.

(1) This section is similar to former § 42-6-140 as it existed prior to 1994, and the former § 42-6-142 was relocated to § 42-6-145 .

(2) Section 803(2) of chapter 462 (SB 21-271), Session Laws of Colorado 2021, provides that the act changing this section applies to offenses committed on or after March 1, 2022.

2021 Ch. 462, was passed without a safety clause. See Colo. Const. art. V, § 1(3).
