Section 13-704 - Fraud in application(a) In any application for a certificate of title, a person may not: (1) Fraudulently use a false or fictitious name;(2) Knowingly make a false statement;(3) Knowingly conceal a material fact; or(4) Otherwise commit a fraud in making the application.(b) In any application for the registration of a vehicle, a person may not:(1) Fraudulently use a false or fictitious name;(2) Knowingly make a false statement;(3) Knowingly conceal a material fact; or(4) Otherwise commit a fraud in making the application.(c) A person convicted of a violation of this section is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000.Amended by 2017 Md.
