Section 12807 - [Operative 1/1/2027] Issuance or renewal of driver's license prohibited The department shall not issue or renew a driver's license to any person:
(a) When a license previously issued to the person under this code has been suspended until the expiration of the period of the suspension, unless cause for suspension has been removed.(b) When a license previously issued to the person under this code has been revoked until the expiration of one year after the date of the revocation, except where a different period of revocation is prescribed by this code, or unless the cause for revocation has been removed.(c) This section shall become operative on January 1, 2027.Added by Stats 2022 ch 800 (AB 2746),s 9, eff. 1/1/2023.
