Section 6-18-1302 - DefinitionsAs used in this subchapter:
(1) "Personal identifying information" means: (B) The name of a student's parent or a member of the student's family;(C) The address, telephone number, or email address of a student or a member of the student's family;(D) A personal identification number such as a Social Security number, driver's license number, or student identification number of a student or a member of the student's family; or(E) Any information, the disclosure of which is regulated or prohibited by any other state law, state rule, federal law, or federal regulation;(2) "Public school" means any school operated by a public school district or any open-enrollment public charter school, as defined in § 6-23-103;(3) "Public school district" means a local school district, as defined in § 6-20-303 [repealed]; and(4)(A) "Questionnaire or survey" means a list or group of questions, responses to which are provided to a person or an entity other than a public school, a public school district, the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education, or any branch of the United States Government.(B) "Questionnaire or survey" does not include:(i) Tests mandated by state law, state rule, federal law, or federal regulation; or(ii) Standardized scholastic achievement tests.Amended by Act 2019, No. 315,§ 263, eff. 7/24/2019.Amended by Act 2019, No. 315,§ 262, eff. 7/24/2019.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 1568, eff. 7/1/2019.Acts 2003, No. 1100, § 1.
