Section 12-61-113 - Scope of duties - Service outside the state
(a) The Governor may order the National Guard or any portion thereof to perform military duty of every description within the state. He or she may authorize participation in small arms and gunnery competitions by any part of the National Guard anywhere outside the state or outside the United States.
(b) Officers and enlisted personnel of the National Guard shall be subject to and governed by the provisions of this act while without this state under the order or authorization of the Governor under this section in like manner and to the same extent as when on duty within this state under orders of the Governor.
