Section 11-2-108 - Director - Powers and duties generallyIn addition to such other duties and powers as may be conferred upon him or her by law, the Director of the Division of Labor shall have the power, jurisdiction, and authority:
(1) To enforce all labor laws in the State of Arkansas, the enforcement of which is not otherwise specifically provided for;(2) To administer and enforce all laws, rules, and regulations that are the duty of the Division of Labor to administer and enforce;(3) To direct, except as otherwise provided, make, or cause to be made all necessary inspections to see that all laws and rules made pursuant thereto that the division has the duty, power, and authority to enforce are promptly and effectively carried out; and(4) To make investigations, collect and compile statistical information, and report upon conditions of labor generally and upon all matters relating to the enforcement and effect of the provisions of this subchapter and of the rules issued under this subchapter.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 5284, eff. 7/1/2019.Acts 1937, No. 161, §§ 2, 7; Pope's Dig., §§ 8498, 8503; Acts 1951, No. 273, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 81-102, 81-107.
