Section 11.41.140 - [Effective 1/1/2025] Definitions In AS 11.41.100 - 11.41.140,
(1) "ingestion" means voluntarily or involuntarily taking a substance into the body in any manner;(2) "person" means, when referring to the victim of a crime, a human being who has been born and was alive at the time of the criminal act; a person is "alive" if there is spontaneous respiratory or cardiac function or, when respiratory and cardiac functions are maintained by artificial means, there is spontaneous brain function.Amended by SLA 2024, ch. 11,sec. 6, eff. 1/1/2025, app. to offenses committed on or after 1/1/2025.This section is set out more than once due to postponed, multiple, or conflicting amendments.
