Rule 30.2 - Bond

Defendants who appeal a conviction in county court to circuit court shall be entitled to release pursuant to Rule 8.3. All time that the defendant has been in custody on the present charge shall be credited against any sentence imposed.

Comment

Rule 30.2 directs that Rule 8.3 governs release of defendants who appeal a conviction in county court to circuit court. As under prior Rule 12.03 (B.) of the Uniform Rules of Circuit and County Court, a defendant is entitled to credit for time in custody on the present charge against any sentence imposed.
