Section 149-2-7 - Academy Training Curriculum7.1. The objective of the curriculum is to provide all law enforcement officers with a minimum of eight hundred and fifty (850) hours of entry level training for certification.7.2. The employing agency shall provide training in those areas not included in the core curriculum. Local ordinances and department policies and procedures are examples of training that shall be provided by each employing agency.7.3. The core curriculum shall be amended, as necessary, to meet the needs of the largest possible number of law enforcement agencies. Changes in the core curriculum require approval of the Subcommittee. Recommendations for change shall be made in writing to the Subcommittee.
