Section 388-845-1180 - Are there limitations to the nurse delegation services that you receive?The following limitations apply to receipt of nurse delegation services:
(1) Clinical and support needs for nurse delegation are limited to those identified in your DDA assessment and documented in the person-centered service plan.(2) The department requires the delegating nurse's written recommendation regarding your need for the service. This recommendation must take into account that the nurse has recently examined you, reviewed your medical records, and conducted a nursing assessment.(3) The department may require a written second opinion from a department selected nurse delegator that meets the same criteria in subsection (2) of this section.(4) The following tasks must not be delegated:(a) Injections, other than insulin;(c) Sterile procedures; and(d) Tasks that require nursing judgment.(5) The dollar amounts for aggregate services in your basic plus waiver or the dollar amounts for your annual allocation in your IFS waiver limit the amount of nurse delegation service you are authorized to receive.Wash.
