Section 442.1 - Concurrent care of juvenile delinquents and persons in need of supervision with dependent, destitute, abandoned and neglected children(a) No juvenile delinquent may be cared for in an institution which provides solely for the temporary care of dependent, destitute, abandoned and neglected children.(b) Juvenile delinquents and persons in need of supervision may be cared for concurrently in any other institution with dependent, destitute, abandoned and neglected children upon written approval from the board based upon the board's finding that the institution can provide appropriate care and treatment for such juvenile delinquents and persons in need of supervision and that such concurrent care will not adversely affect the care and treatment of the other children. The board may impose conditions for approval. Persons in need of supervision may similarly be cared for in an institution which provides for the temporary care of dependent, destitute, abandoned and neglected children in accordance with the provisions of this subdivision.N.Y.
