Section 7:1J-3.10 - Sealing of well

The administrator shall require as a condition of receiving compensation from the Fund for an alternate water supply, that within 60 days after the connection to a water supply system, the claimant shall decommission and permanently seal the contaminated well pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:9D-3. The administrator may approve an exemption from this requirement for a well that is used in a geothermal heating and cooling system.
