Section 19:25-8.9 - Political committee contributions received immediately before an election

(a) A campaign treasurer of a political committee shall file a notice (Form C-1 or 72/24-HR) of any contribution in excess of $ 200.00, or any aggregate contributions from a contributor, which total in excess of $ 200.00, received on or after the 13th day preceding the date of the election and received up to and including the date of the election, which notice shall contain:

1. The name of the recipient political committee;

2. The date the contribution was received;

3. The amount of the contribution;

4. The name and mailing address of the contributor; and

5. If the contributor is an individual, the occupation of the individual and the name and mailing address of the individual's employer.

(b) The notice described at (a) above shall be signed by the campaign treasurer and filed with the Commission:

1. Within 72 hours of receipt of the contribution, if the contribution is received on or after the 13th day prior to the election up to and including the eighth day prior to the election; or

2. Within 24 hours of receipt of the contribution, if the contribution is received on or after the seventh day prior to the election up to and including the date of the election.
