Section 13:62-17.5 - Driver requirements

(a) All drivers shall wear a properly secured helmet, which meets or exceeds the Snell Memorial Foundation Testing Standard SA 2015, which is incorporated herein by reference, as amended and supplemented. The helmet shall not have reached the expiration date established by the Snell Memorial Foundation at the time of the event. The standards are available from the Snell Memorial Foundation, 3628 Madison Avenue, Suite 11, North Highlands, CA 95660.

(b) All drivers shall wear a properly secured head and neck restraint device/system that meets SFI Specification 38.1, which are commercially produced and designed for racing.

(c) All drivers shall wear a multi-layer fire retardant suit meeting SFI rating of 3.2A/15 or greater. Shoes and gloves with SFI rating of 3.3/5 or greater are also required.
