Section 10:54-4.7 - Use of HCPCS codes for emergency department services(a) When a physician sees his or her patient in the emergency room instead of his or her office, the physician shall use the same codes for the visit that would be used if the patient were seen in the physician's office (HCPCS 99211-99215 only). Records of the emergency room visit shall become part of the notes in the office chart.(b) When a patient is seen by a hospital-based emergency room physician who is a Medicaid provider, then only the following "Visit" codes shall be used: N.J.
