Section 450B.465 - Storage and security1. Each dangerous drug and controlled substance used by a service must be stored: (a) In its original container, and each original container must bear a securely attached label which is legibly marked; and(b) Under appropriately controlled climatic conditions.2. In addition to the requirements set forth in subsection 1, each controlled substance must be: (a) Stored in a locked cabinet in the ambulance, air ambulance or agency's vehicle; or(b) Under the direct physical control of a paramedic or a registered nurse.3. When a controlled substance is not being used, it must be secured, together with the record for that controlled substance, in a manner approved by the medical director of the service.Nev. Admin.
