Section R. 338.575 - Closing a wholesale distributor or wholesale distributor-brokerRule 75.
(1) A wholesale distributor that is ceasing operations shall return the wholesale distributor license and controlled substance license, if applicable, to the department, and provide the department with written notification of all of the following not less than 15 days before closing: (a) The effective date of closing.(b) How controlled substances will be disposed.(c) How non-controlled substances will be disposed.(d) The location where records and prescription files will be stored.(2) A wholesale distributor shall comply with all applicable federal requirements for discontinuing a business that handles a controlled substance.(3) A wholesale distributor-broker that is ceasing operations shall return the wholesale distributor-broker license and provide the department with written notification of the location where records will be stored not less than 15 days before closing.(4) Records must be maintained for the same amount of time that is required if the wholesale distributor or wholesale distributor-broker remained open.Mich.
