(1) A social service worker shall complete a written assessment of each child available for adoption. The assessment must include all available information about the child and meet all requirements of section 27 of chapter X of the probate code of 1939, 1939 PA 288, MCL 710.27.(2) An agency must have on file a written adoptive family evaluation and agency recommendation as required under R 400.12605 and R 400.12607 before approving the adoptive parents for each adoptive placement and before referring a child to, or placing a child in, the home for purposes of adoption.Mich.
